In 1997, the founders of DELENCANTO took their first steps toward their biggest dream: to build a food company in Ecuador. Their mission was clear—to elaborate and share products that truly represent the essence of Ecuador, made with the highest quality ingredients.
From the very beginning, they were committed to using only the finest raw materials, sourced from local farmers who shared their same values, vision and commitment. Each product is carefully crafted to deliver fresh, crunchy with delicious flavors that brighten everyday moments.
Over the years, DELENCANTO has grown and evolved, but the goal remains the same: to share the richness of Ecuador with the world through our products—and proudly become one of the companies recognized as part of the nation’s official country brand.

Our founders began the company by producing Panela (sugar cane) at their first factory located in Puyo, a city in Ecuador’s Amazon region. Meanwhile, at their second facility in Quito, they started producing cassava and sweet potato chips. That same year, our sugar cane became available in supermarkets across Ecuador.

We made our first international shipment of Panela (sugar cane) green plantain and cassava chips to the United States, Spain, and Cuba.

We participated in food trade shows in Ecuador, Spain, and the United States to expand our client network.

Our snacks entered Ecuador’s top supermarket chains, while we also began producing cereals for global organizations like the UN World Food Programme.

We began manufacturing granola and cereal bars for third-party companies in Ecuador.

We renewed our corporate identity as well as our product packaging.

We became the leading brand for cassava and sweet potato chips in top supermarket chains nationwide.

This year marked another exciting transformation: we refreshed our brand to reach new audiences, earned GMP certification (Good Manufacturing Practices), and we are geared up to export once again.
